Is Marketing on Your Menu?

Social media marketing is the perfect place for your restaurant, your customers love to express themselves through their food posts.  You only must search #food #foodporn and you’ll see literally thousands of posts.

We’ve highlighted some tips to help you make the most of using social media.

The Basics

Know and understand your audience, for example, a person’s choice of food will say a lot about their personality.

Know your objectives and how you want to be perceived, are you a fine dining restaurant or informal burger bar?  The strategy you put in place will help you create the right content and use the most appropriate social media platforms.

Create Consistency

You want to ensure that you are creating a consistent voice where you will want your written content, images, and video to be in line with your entire brand guidelines and digital presence.  This means that your social media platforms should reflect your website, logo, brand colours and voice.  If you use casual, friendly tone on your website, this should be mimicked on social media.

Always be Responsive

It’s important to respond to all reviews, both positive and negative because it shows that you care and appreciate the review, as well as the fact that you are listening.  If you are unlucky to receive a negative review, respond with compassion and understanding, while offering a solution.  Use a negative review to show your audience that you are improving.  Ignoring reviews, especially negative ones, will not cut it.

Is Social Media Worth it?

A study by Sprout Social found 75% of people bought a product because they saw it on social media – image how many customers you could win by employing some simple social media tactics?
